Cultivated in dark, rich soil and shaded by lush plantain and banana trees, the weighty fruit of cacao grows, directly from the trunk, in an array of wonderful colours. This is the source of all chocolate.

At De La Tierra we use single bean origin chocolate. Created with cocoa beans from small producers in some of the best cocoa regions in the world, our chocolate has a distinctive and individual flavour of high quality. From the Caribbean island of Santo Domingo we find a fruity, herbal, intense dark chocolate. Cocoa beans from Papua produce our milk chocolate with its rich aroma, light herbal taste and beautiful copper finish.

Add………...fresh cream from the Peak District, the scents and aromas of honey, spices, herbs and flowers and what you get is the unique taste of De La Tierra - of the Earth.

Our commitment to using only the finest ingredients, offers you a different truffle experience. There are no artificial preservatives, additives or colours used. These really are FRESH cream truffles and have a shelf life of just two weeks. We could add more sugar, replace cocoa butter with vegetable fat or decrease the amount of fresh cream that we use, in order to prolong their shelf life but not without losing that essential pure quality which makes our handmade chocolates distinctive and utterly flavoursome. And why would you ever want to put them away in a cupboard ? These truffles are for eating now ( or maybe next week) ! It is all a matter of taste and what we offer you is taste in its very purest form. Taste at its absolute freshest.

Dark chocolate contains min 70% cocoa solids, milk chocolate min 37% cocoa solids.
